Canterbury 's Mt Hutt Ski Area typically receives some of the lightest and driest powder in Australasia and enjoys a long, June - October ski season.

Mt Hutt has some of the best facilities in the country including the Summit Six, six seater chairlift, a dedicated quad chair, a triple chair and a beginners Magic Carpet which offers access to a wide variety of trails and fantastic mix of terrain that includes a UP & GO terrain park and Dirty Dog Halfpipe for skiers, riders and freestylers of all levels.

Scheduled to open on June 9, its new automated snowmaking systems will ensure the best possible early snow conditions for the 2007 season. Mt Hutt is family and beginner friendly and features an award winning Snowsports School and a licensed Skiwiland Crèche. Children six and under ski for free.
